Biography

René Therrien is Full Professor and Head of the Department of Geology and Geological Engineering at Université Laval. He is also Director of the CentrEau research group, which focuses on water availability, use, management and governance. He has expertise in hydrogeology, and his current research projects involve the development and application of hydrological models to support water resource management, including the prediction of the impact of climate change and land-use change on surface and groundwater quantity and quality.
